Typefaces can convey emotions that are connected to the message in the text. This can help emphasize a point or theme. These fonts used in these brands of candy show that they are fun and tasty.

However, if a typeface is used incorrectly, can be detrimental to the meaning of the message, or just look strange, like this welcome sign. Because of this, some people feel strongly about preventing the misuse of typefaces. Movements such as “ban comic sans” have stated their opinion about inappropriate fonts with websites and products.

What makes me mad is that spring break is only one week. They try to fool you by having the week in between weekends, to make it seem longer, but those days would have been off anyway. I think it should be two weeks, giving the students enough time to fully decompress. At a school like LASA, a two week spring break would be very helpful to the mental health of both the students and the teachers, making the school year run much more smoothly.

In fact, the worst thing a designer can hear is an offhand “Just do whatever you want.”

This means that the narrower the parameters are, the more the designer has to work to create something innovative and unleash their creativity. Being told to do whatever you want can be difficult because with such a wide range of possibilities it is hard to focus on one good idea.

An opinion you could hear about blogs is that they can be a tool to help reflect ideas, organize information, and communicate to others. In my opinion, this is a crock. While I think blogs can be a good way to document travels and interesting happenings, in most cases they are created by hopeless lowlifes that are under the delusion that people care about the minutia of their lives. “Bloggers” may argue that posting information is a good way to keep family and friends in touch. In response, I have one word: email. I would like to stress that I am not a hypocrite, as posting in a blog is a requirement in a class that I am enrolled in.
